What if the infamous "Demon Core" was like an actual demon? What if it was like an epic boss fight where you have to use screwdriver-shaped harpoons or something to keep it from closing its mouth and unleashing a super dangerous AOE attack?
That's...it. That's the thought process behind this concept art.
